BEYOND BEIRUT
1 ReviewsIt's a voyage into the eccentric, the overlooked, and the offbeat corners of Beirut's urban landscape. it's an invitation to embrace a city that refuses to be defined by convention.
Square Café Zalka opened its doors in October 2010. The restaurant is eye-catching with its glowing design. The designers have thought it all: from the large entrance stairs, exterior mosaic walls and the impressive terrace to the remarkable hall with its high ceiling, glass facades, huge bar, modern chandeliers and living colors on the walls.
The restaurant offers the 'traditional' international menu: Lebanese mezze and grill, pizza, pasta, burger... Prices are lower than average and food is good.
Our only concern was smoke, every table surrounding us had ordered at least one arguileh. Although our table was on the terrace, we ordered the bill quickly after finishing the meal.
Square Café is worth trying especially if you're into Arguileh.
